Application Support Analyst – IT Department
As a member of the application support group, you will be responsible for: maintenance of multiple oil & gas applications including support, configuration, administration, documentation, security, and upgrades with a strong focus on change management processes; supporting end users; working with software vendors to resolve application issues; and assisting with the maintenance of test, development and training environments for critical applications.
Qualifications: The successful applicant will be able to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment. You will: be a detail-oriented, team player with strong multi-tasking and organizational skills; have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, have strong analytical and troubleshooting skills and be able to solve problems, track initiatives and balance varying requirements. Basic Project Management skills are required, as well as experience implementing 3rd party network applications. Experience with the following applications would be an asset: enVision, Avocet (Fieldview), CSExplorer, Value Navigator, PowerView, PetroNet, WellView, SiteView, Document management/workflow solutions, Hyperion, Petronet, IHS Accumap suite, Geographics suite, Magic/SDE, IIS, Tomcat, and Apache. Preferred candidates will be familiar with SQL scripting and MS Access, Oracle and sql Server databases as well as supporting applications in a Citrix/Terminal server environment.

South District Field Operators
Three positions available, one in each area; Centron/Chestermere, Hooker/High River, Gladys. Candidate will Report to the Field Foreman for the assigned area. Assigned Operator Level dependent on experience.
Responsibilities:
- Perform all work and services necessary to maintain Compton’s facilities and the production of the wells.
- Conduct all operations in a safe and competent manner.
- Conduct daily duties in compliance with accepted industry practice and regulatory authority having jurisdiction including AEUB, OH&S, AENV, WCB, ABSA, and Alberta Transportation.
- Conduct all activities in accordance with Compton’s ABSA and Electrical Safety Codes Council accredited programs as well as Compton’s ERP’s and EH&S programs.
- Maintain and operate all company equipment in a responsible and respectful manner.
- Accurately record daily readings and production into company data capture programs.
- Monitor and optimize well production.
- Supervise maintenance and service activities as required.
- Assist Field Foreman as required.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of three years Oil & Gas experience (preferably both sweet and sour).
- Must be self motivated and have good problem solving abilities.
- Must be a Team player.
- Must have a valid Class 5 Driver’s Licence with acceptable driving abstract.
- Will require certification in H2S Alive, First Aid/CPR, TDG, WHMIS, HPV Products Release and Driver Training.
- SOLIS or equivalent certification is required. If not held on hire date then candidate must enrol in the SOLIS program and complete it within three years.
